One of the many reasons that I love Christmas is that it’s like everyone gives everyone else permission to just… stop for a day. To rest. To relax. To inhale snickerdoodles baking and exhale peppermint mocha bliss.
Part of the peace of this holiday is the music, a part which is certainly not neglected by MMOs. As per our tradition here at Massively OP, we want to give to you another batch of holiday video game music to enjoy as you loot, nap, or otherwise be as completely unproductive as you want to today.

“Palace of the Ice Crystals” from Club Penguin
I love this piano-led interpretation of “Carol of the Bells.” It’s quiet, subtle, and even a bit melancholy. I kept expecting it to erupt in some glorious chorus, but instead it faded out as if onto the wind.
“Silent Night” from C9
If you like some rock — and even a bit of gothic horror — with your Christmas music, well, here you go. Electric guitars slam out this piece as you headbang your way over to the eggnog bar.
“Jingle Bells” from DOMO
I mean, it’s “Jingle Bells.” A nice adaptation of the classic song, but you’re not really going to be in for a revelation here.
“Violet’s Celebration” from RuneScape
This is from RuneScape’s very recent holiday quest that continues the tale of the charming little Violet and, I think, her pet yeti. It’s a cheery song with some snappy clapping and subtle “fa la las” tucked in for good measure. And an electric guitar, because I guess this is a theme now.
“White Christmas” from MapleStory
I like the lounge spin on this one. It actually would do well for any Christmas party mix without people even guessing that it came from a video game.

Oh poor MapleStory 2, you didn’t even make it to another Christmas to celebrate, did you? At least you left us music like this, which gives us a slowly bubbling track of seasonal cheer.
