If you’re looking for some warm fuzzies, look no further than what New World game director Scot Lane is wearing in the game’s first Forged in Aeternum episode of 2024. Also enjoy the well-wishes for the holiday season from the devs, of course, but mostly it’s all about that hoodie that Lane is wearing in the video – it’s worth watching for that thing alone.
The video itself doesn’t provide a whole lot more beyond that, but it’s still a warm and entertaining bit of viewing all the same, as multiple devs from Amazon Games share their amusing and enjoyable well-wishes for the past holiday season and the current new year. For the most part, anyway; those puppets sitting behind one dev are a bit less heartwarming.
Lane further opens by saying that the dev studio’s resolution is to “raise the overall quality of the game […] by fixing more bugs, improving performance, and reducing the introduction of bugs as [the team builds].” He does note that these goals may be missed by 2024’s first release, but expresses confidence that these goals will be met by year’s end.
