The month of February is loaded to the gills with events (and shop sales) for the alpha spaceship sandbox of Star Citizen, as CIG has elected to blend its Coramor Valentine’s Day event, Red Festival Lunar New Year event, and a limited-time free fly event from now through the majority of the month.
We’ll begin with the free fly event, which runs between now and February 15th. As in other events of this type, players will be given full access to the alpha game and be granted five different ships for free, including the 100i, the Scorpius, and the Prospector. The event is also unsurprisingly offering discounts on two starter bundles for the length of its run.
SC is also kicking off its annual Coramor Valentine’s Day and Red Festival at the same time. Both events primarily hawk unique ship paint schemes, ship bundles, or functional character armor, but also feature thematic Arena Commander modes, a screenshot contest, and the return of hidden red envelopes full of credits. Coramor runs until the 15th, and the Red Festival is live until the 26th.
